How does Dance work?
Dance makes owning an ebike easy. Everything you need is included in one subscription: a quality electric bike and secure lock, responsive customer service, free on-demand maintenance, and theft coverage.

Dance One Step
A fully-assembled, ready-to-ride electric bike with a custom aluminum step-through frame. Ideal for riders 150–185 cm tall. The whole bike weighs 21 kg.
Hours of power
The lightweight lithium battery can take you 55 km on one charge. It’s lightweight, easy to remove, and can be charged quickly using a regular wall socket—from 0% to 80% in just two hours.
Smooth on every surface
The puncture-resistant tires are ideal for city life. They’re wide enough to take on tram tracks and sturdy enough to handle cobbled streets.
All the power you need
Two ’power assist’ modes keep your cycling smooth, with a maximum speed of 25 km/h. Switch between 3 modes: ’regular’ for everyday commutes, ’extra’ for hills and headwinds, and ’no assist’ for when the battery’s running low.

The phone mount is integrated into the handlebar. Just attach your phone using the optional holder, open the Dance app, and track your rides.

The backbone of Munich's cycling network is formed by 14 bike routes that run in a star shape from the outskirts to the city center. They lead mainly through speed-30 zones, parks or green spaces. Separate bike lanes are used on main roads.

Dance is a subscription electric mobility service. Your monthly membership fee provides you with your own ebike and access to our concierge team, who repair and maintain your vehicle at no additional charge and as quickly as within 24 hours.
Unlike traditional ownership or shared services, Dance gives you the advantages of having your own electric bike, with the flexibility of a membership you can turn on and off when you want.
Dance ebikes have a removable battery and charger that come with your delivery. The charger works with all standard outlets and will allow you to charge your battery in your home or office, wherever is most convenient for you.
Charging the battery from empty to full takes approximately three hours.
Dance ebikes come with an optional mobile phone holder. You can also add a rear basket for €1.99/month and a Thule rear-mounted child seat for €9.99/month.
Of course you can also use your own accessories for your vehicle, but the use is at your own risk (see also section 4.14 of our T&Cs in the FAQs). We have tested the following parts and models and consider them compatible with our vehicles, but we cannot accept any liability for damage resulting from their use:

Bear in mind that the fitting of store-bought child seats and accessories is not covered by our Dance concierge service.
No rack mount child seats, front child seats, trailers or carts are approved for use with Dance ebikes, but we are exploring more options for the future.
We don’t recommend adding additional accessories to your bike, as they will need to be removed before repairs, and any damage caused by non-Dance accessories could incur fees.
You can arrange for repairs on the Dance app. Next, lock your vehicle in an outside area that is accessible, but still secure. A mechanic will then locate it with your instructions and repair it within 24 hours on weekdays, with weekends and holidays taking up to 48 hours.
Please note: you will not be able to use your vehicle once you've booked a repair, but you do not need to be present during the repair. Please note that you may incur a fee if you book a repair but your vehicle is unable to be reached.
At the moment we do not offer test rides or trial periods. However, you can just sign up for Dance membership and try out your new ebike or moped directly upon delivery. If you decide you don’t want it, we’ll take it back and you won’t pay any fees.
We’d be sad to see you leave, but if you need to cancel your membership you can do so easily through the Dance app.
To cancel your membership, click "Settings" in the Dance app and select "Cancel subscription". You’ll receive further instructions via the app and we’ll pick up your ebike or moped. And if you change your mind, we’d be happy to welcome you back to Dance!
If your vehicle has been stolen, please contact our concierge team as soon as possible via the Dance app and report it. Tell us where you left it and when you last saw or used it. We’ll then immediately investigate and keep you informed about the next steps.
