E-Mobility Subscription Service launches innovative, digital anti-theft protection

January 11th, 2023 - Dance, the startup from the founders of SoundCloud and Jimdo, offers ebikes and emopeds on a monthly subscription basis and is available in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna and Paris. In order to protect their ebikes even better against theft, Dance is now cooperating with the startup IoT Venture, which specialises in digital theft protection for bikes: Their smart technology enables the location and recovery of bikes in the event of theft. As part of the cooperation, several thousand Dance e-bikes will be equipped with corresponding GPS trackers at the beginning of this year.

We are continuously exploring potential partnerships with innovative players in the mobility sector to offer our members a state-of-the-art mobility experience. IoT Venture GmbH are pioneers in the connected bike sector and our partnership will allow us to bring significantly greater security and connectivity to our Dance bikes,” states Christian Springub, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Dance.
An expansion of the partnership is planned: Dance is already in the pilot phase for the digital theft protection of another e-bike model.  “With our smart technology, we offer insights into data that will help Dance achieve their objective of creating more liveable cities.
